About

Lucia is the recipe developer behind Poppi & Lu's Oven (@poppiandlu). She is sharing her love a food with a digital media presence on Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. Lucia's love of food comes from her family and years of working in pastry kitchens and food establishments like the Wayfare Tavern, Sens Restaurant, and Eb & Bean. The name Poppi and Lu comes from Lucia's grandfather and her shared love of sweets. She called him Poppi growing up and he called her Lu. This website brings that love of food together in a digital collection and highlights her favorite vegetarian recipes and places to eat.

 

Lucia focuses on using simple, flavorful, and seasonal ingredients in her recipes and loves to incorporate new ingredients into her cooking and baking. She hopes to use the skills she learned at Cornell University's Online Food and Management Program to help people learn to make everything from Chocolate Gelato to Jalapeño Pupusas to Basque Cheesecake.
